Why Fawnhurst?
Fawnhurst Rentals takes its name from the private gravel drive on site, Fawnhurst Lane. The name "Fawnhurst" originates from two Middle English words: "fawn," meaning a baby deer, and "hurst," meaning a hill or hilly area. While deer sightings are rare now, guests can enjoy spotting many squirrels, chipmunks, and rabbits.

This 700-square-foot ground-floor duplex apartment comfortably sleeps two guests in one bedroom and one bathroom. Situated in a minimalist two-unit building, the unit features a covered front deck with a large porch swing by the main entry. The living room provides a 65-inch Sony Smart TV, while the master bedroom contains a queen bed and 55-inch Sony Smart TV. Free Wi-Fi on site and Netflix access on all TVs included.

This 700 square foot duplex apartment has two bedrooms and one bathroom, comfortably sleeping up to four guests. The minimalist unit is located on the upstairs floor of a two-unit building. It features an open front deck with outdoor seating at the main entry, as well a deicated medation area in the rear dinning hall. The living room is equipped with a 55" Sony Smart TV. The master bedroom has a queen bed and 50" LG Smart TV. The second bedroom has a full bed and 42" LG TV. All TV's are loged in with access to Netflix.

The Care Takers Home

This three bedroom, one and a half bath home was built in 1921. This home is currently occupted by the property's care takers and is not available for rent.
Home is nestled behind a patch of lilies at the front of the estate. This array of lily varieties burst into bloom each June and July. The rear yard also has muscadines grapes that are harvetable in September.
Fawnhurst Art Studio
The Fawnhurst Art Studio is currently under designed for traveling artists. It will be reservable for solo work or small art retreats accommodating up to 6 students. Though it's still under development, feedback from prospective guests is welcome. My passions are quilting and stained glass, but I aim to foster artistic collaboration across disciplines by creating an inclusive space for all art forms.
Shared Outdoor Spaces
Laundry Room- heated room with; full sized washer and dryer, mini-iron board and iron, utility sink and room to fold laundry.
Outdoor Shower- Located outside the laundry room is a heated shower to use prior to entering the hot tub
Hot Tub- Luxuray 3 person hot tub located on a mostly covered patio.
Blueberry Patch- Area near the Art studio with 8 diffrent types of blueberries. Ripe from mid July to mid August.
Lilly Patch- a colorful show that blooms from mid June to late July.
